 From Bluegrass Unlimited

"This young group from the North Carolina/Tennessee area has produced a nice collection of mostly original material. The band conists of guitarist Quentin Acres, mandolinist Tommy Norris, fiddler Noah Wall, and on Upright Bass Hasee Ciaccio. The group shares in lead and harmony vocals and each contribute to the compositions, with the bulk of them coming from Ms. Wall. The two instrumentals are Acres' "Southfork By Midnight" and Norris' "Calico Jack." The remainder of the tunes are written by Wall, with the exception of "Wasting Time" from Andrew Marlin and "The Whole World Round" from Joe Stuart and Mitch Jayne. Wall is a good songwriter; her songs are crafted well and fit into the trio's arrangements.

The Nellies

The Nellies are an Albany, NY based, rootsy, alt-country, Americana band. The band is driven by core singer-songwriter duo, Karen Ann Gilpin (acoustic guitar/banjo) and Peggy Lecuyer (mandolin/harmonica) who both contribute driving rhythms and beautiful two part harmonies to their songs. They are joined by Gene Lemme who keeps The Nellies in line on the upright bass. Also joining The Nellies at shows are an assortment of stellar lead players such as Kevin Maul and Mike McMann, as well as others. You will find The Nellies’ energy contagious. Their fun loving stage presence will put a smile on your face.

Livestock

Though solid bluegrass is their common bond, they all bring influences from early fidle tunes, blues, rock, folk, even a cajun tune or two along with a few originals. They are Bluegrass and Americana from Massachusetts, The Lineup is Dave Richardson on Mandolin, Chet Fairchild on Bass, John Coutier on dobro and Jim Lamothe on Guitar

The Stable Hands

The Stable Hands Band has been growing together for the past six years and collaborating as friends and family. With Sue and Tom Connolly , Janet and Rick Baskowski, the two couples create an acoustic sound that is completely their own contemporary style. Their goal is to play original music as an art form within the Bluegrass genre. You will feel their excitement for each other and their music.

Gravel Yard

The Gravelyard Bluegrass Band have been playing their own style of Folk Bluegrass for the past seven years. They have performed at area festivals, concert series and local fund raisers. In fact, they host a popular concert series 'Folk Fest For Food'  in their home town of Cherry Valley. The band members are Phil Zenir on guitar and vocals, Jeff Philips on bango, Tripp Swart on  mandolin, Dennis Walrath on bass and Butch Yager on congos. In the last seven years the band has developed a unique repertoire of driving bluegrass combined with haunting folk ballads. According to David Ring of WONE radio in Oneonta, "As a group, their love of music is obvious in their high energy shows...these guys have fun and so do their audiences.

If you like good solid, straight from the heart bluegrass, tight harmonies and just want to enjoy some “feel good” bluegrass music, then don’t miss “Barrington”!!!

Melanie and the Boys
